My role as a therapist is to guide clients to grow, through creating an atmosphere of empathy and attentiveness, in a safe and confidential environment. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet clients where they are, as I walk with them on their journey. While I primarily practice from a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral approach, I blend therapeutic techniques from a variety of other modalities including motivational interviewing, collaborative problem solving, interpersonal psychotherapy and positive psychology. I have received specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and Perinatal Support of Washington, and have earned the designation of Child Mental Health Specialist in the State of Washington. Additionally, I have participated in diversity training and am committed to culturally competent therapy.
